Greetings From Atlanta

January 19th, 2010 No comments

Greetings from the 90th AMS Annual Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta Georgia. I have been here since last friday attending both the Student Conference and the Annual Meeting

I have presented two posters down here. The first one (9th Student Conference) highlighted the summer work I did at NASA, while the other one (22nd Climo Conference….seen above) depicted more in-depth research that is part of my thesis. This has been my second time at one of these meetings, with the first one being in New Orleans two years ago, and I have to say that I have enjoy this meeting so far.

For more information on my thesis work, and to see the actual poster you can check out the AMS link here, which includes the abstract, extended abstract, and poster

HAPPY NEW YEAR!……..plus 12 days

The blogging cycle continues in my life: Get a blog, post frequently, stop posting for a while, find motivation to post frequently again. What’s my motivation this time? Well two things. First, paying for another year of domain space, and 2nd, next weeks American Meteorology Society Annual Meeting.

I will be representing Plymouth State as I present two posters down in Atlanta as a part of my thesis research. The first one is a basic summary of my summer work down in Florida at the 9th Annual Student conference Sunday night. The second one will be during the 22nd Conference on Climate Variability and Change Tuesday morning. This one will provide in depth detail of my thesis work. If you are going to be going to this conference, I ask you to stop by and see all the hard work I have put to this (and maybe even grab a resume ;-) )

If you can’t make it, dont worry. The extended abstract is uploaded to the AMS website and can be viewed here.

My goal after the conference is to turn the Extended Abstract into a thesis. I hope to have everything done sometime in February, so stay tuned!
